STOP the Black Snake

A poster for the #NoDAPL movement.

What's the big deal here?
I created this poster for the #NoDAPL movement in the Dakotas. I got this idea from a poster in WWI France. The poster was used for Tuberculosis information. I have added the image below for your convenience. I wanted to show the oil dripping from the snakes mouth. I made it a little more dangerous by showing the darkness mixed in with red which usually creates uneasy feelings. I thought a vintage propaganda poster could be successfully used because it is meant to warn people of possible dangers that could cause harm to society. In this case the snake represents the prophecy that the "Black Snake" or the the oil pipeline could bring the end of the world. They are currently using the black snake as a symbol for their movement.
What do you guys think about this movement and the poster recreation? Please tell me below in the comments!
Thanks for checking my poster out!
